Lab 13 Reflection Journal

            
            In todays lab was basically a continuations of yesterdays lab as we did use the same document. This time the goal of the lab was to add APIs in which the user can click to share and a variety of social media platforms. Compared to others labs this was really simple because the APIs I used were in the pages of each individual platform so all i need to do was look it up the ckde needed in ored to add the API and as soon as I found it.I would add it to my own code. For the lab I only added twitter and pinterest as the other as I couldnt find the APIs for the other platforms.
            The skills gained from the lab will definitley come in handy in the future. As a web designer I would need to add APIs to my work in order to allow users to share it if they enjoy if not it just adds a nice little user interface which can be used.

What Does a CTE Diploma Means to Me?

            What diplomas can students receive in High School? There are different diplomas that students in High School can get but for each one they have different standards in order to achieve them. One of the diplomas that a student can receive is a Regents diploma this is the basic diploma students need to graduate High School with and can receive. The Advanced Regents diploma is a diploma that students can aim for while in High School this diploma is for students who have a taken more regents and whose grades exceed those of regular students. To get the Regents diploma, a student needs 8 English credits, 8 S.S credits, 6 Math  credits, 6 Science credits, 2 credits in LOTE, 4 credits in PE, 1 credit in Health, 2 credits in Art and 7 elective credits. You will also need to pass 5 regents exams on English, any math, any science, and social studies, and any additional regents. CS Fair Reflection Journal

Taken from the CS Fair website             Today we the Web Design academy had the opportunity to go to the CS Fair held within the Armory Track. At first before the entire trip even started I was wondering what we might see at this event and I really wasn't prepared for what was actually there. Once we got to the location I was astonished to see how many people actually went and even how many companies, colleges, etc were there at the fair. The place was massive and there was so many things to do, people to talk to and I was dumbfounded in where to start. The first thing I did during the fair was try the different activities they had to offer including playing with lights, driving a robot which was created to complete in a competition and was built in around 30 days which was extremely impressive.
