Guest Speaker 2

Another day during the winter semester we were given the opportunity to listen to other guests who are Alex Eacker and Andrew Otto who took the time to come into our classroom and talk about their journey throughout their individual careers and lives including the struggles and downfalls they experienced as well.  Otto works for Wikipedia and talked with the entire class about the journey he took to get their and he explained how Wikipedia works and even some facts that I didn't even know about such as Wikipedia does not take display any advertisement and only relies on peoples donations to keep the website running and all the people who work to make it what it is which is pretty cool. Alex Eacker also talked about his experience as he participated in the creation of many startups and how and what its like working in a startup company and how truly hard it is and how much time you need to put in order to make sure it turns out positively. Although both of their individual journeys were different one thing was the same which is that you have to follow what you love to do and nothing else and it doesn't matter whether you know what you want to do or not because sooner or later you will find out what thing makes you happy so you don't have to worry so much about what you would want to do in your life. Overall, listening to these two people talk was actually a wonderful experience as we as a class got more insight and what the future is like which is extremely useful and I'm glad I was there to experience it.
