Lab 40 Reflection Journal


            For this lab we created a fun cool way to display information in a carousal like way and this actually got me really interesting as in all the labs we previously did I've never seen something like it but I wanted to know right away the code it took to create such a thing. To complete the lab divs were created and intertwined with each other in order to start off the lab. Soon after JavaScript and CSS were key factors in finishing the lab as with JavaScript event listeners were used to determine when the mouse clicks a div and or leaves it with this the effect was created which is actually really cool. CSS was used in order to style it the way you see fit maybe if you want it white and black you can do that if you want a rainbow you can do that also as well as adjust the height and width of the boxes.
            The skills gained from the lab gives us a new way to organize information for the user to view the thing that comes to mind after finishing this lab is using it to organize the labs and projects of my portfolio because I think its a really cool way to display your work to others.

What Does a CTE Diploma Means to Me?

            What diplomas can students receive in High School? There are different diplomas that students in High School can get but for each one they have different standards in order to achieve them. One of the diplomas that a student can receive is a Regents diploma this is the basic diploma students need to graduate High School with and can receive. The Advanced Regents diploma is a diploma that students can aim for while in High School this diploma is for students who have a taken more regents and whose grades exceed those of regular students. To get the Regents diploma, a student needs 8 English credits, 8 S.S credits, 6 Math  credits, 6 Science credits, 2 credits in LOTE, 4 credits in PE, 1 credit in Health, 2 credits in Art and 7 elective credits. CS Fair Reflection Journal

Taken from the CS Fair website             Today we the Web Design academy had the opportunity to go to the CS Fair held within the Armory Track. At first before the entire trip even started I was wondering what we might see at this event and I really wasn't prepared for what was actually there. Once we got to the location I was astonished to see how many people actually went and even how many companies, colleges, etc were there at the fair. The place was massive and there was so many things to do, people to talk to and I was dumbfounded in where to start. The first thing I did during the fair was try the different activities they had to offer including playing with lights, driving a robot which was created to complete in a competition and was built in around 30 days which was extremely impressive.
