Shark Tank 1 Reflection Journal


            So today we actually started something very special in class which I find very cool in my opinion we have partnered with Cornell Tech to participate in a research study. For the first part of the study we were all assigned to be in groups of four and asked to create a product which could be anything to customizable AI, virtual reality suits, etc.. After the creation of the product then each group was asked to gather information on every product so each individual persons in the group were required to get information from two different companies. The completion of that led us to be assigned one group of "company" which we were required to create a website for marketing their product to show off to everyone. The company my group was assigned was MajinBuu Industries who created a virtual reality suit. My group collaborated very well and each individual focused on one singular part of the webpage and in the end we all brought our work together to from one webpage in total. The homepage of our first client's website can be seen below. I think it looks great but their are somethings which can be fixed to better improve the design of the website and make it more visually appealing towards the audiences.
            The skills we gained from participating in the first part of the Shark Tank are actually very valuable as we learned how to collaborate better with others who we may not have none and come together to finish a project the best we could. I will be utilizing these skills in the future to further better myself as a web designer as I will probably still have to collaborate with others in the future through various projects.

What Does a CTE Diploma Means to Me?

            What diplomas can students receive in High School? There are different diplomas that students in High School can get but for each one they have different standards in order to achieve them. One of the diplomas that a student can receive is a Regents diploma this is the basic diploma students need to graduate High School with and can receive. The Advanced Regents diploma is a diploma that students can aim for while in High School this diploma is for students who have a taken more regents and whose grades exceed those of regular students. CS Fair Reflection Journal

Taken from the CS Fair website             Today we the Web Design academy had the opportunity to go to the CS Fair held within the Armory Track. At first before the entire trip even started I was wondering what we might see at this event and I really wasn't prepared for what was actually there. Once we got to the location I was astonished to see how many people actually went and even how many companies, colleges, etc were there at the fair. The place was massive and there was so many things to do, people to talk to and I was dumbfounded in where to start. The first thing I did during the fair was try the different activities they had to offer including playing with lights, driving a robot which was created to complete in a competition and was built in around 30 days which was extremely impressive.
