Lab 6 Reflection Journal


            Lab 6 basically used everything from Lab 5 such as the box and all the buttons that were previously made we just had to add 3 completely new buttons which would not create animations but rather stop them in different ways. The buttons individually did different things such rapidly finish the animation, freeze it, or finish the last animation the played prior to the button being pressed.
            To complete the lab I used the .stop which contained two parameters. In order to speed up the animation playing both parameters needed to be true, to freeze  it would be true, false. And lastly to finish the last animation which was prior to the button being click it would be false, true.
            The skills gained in the lab are useful to a web designer as it adds to their knowledge and their ability to manipulate webpages to complete certain actions and in this case it would be stop.

What Does a CTE Diploma Means to Me?

            What diplomas can students receive in High School? There are different diplomas that students in High School can get but for each one they have different standards in order to achieve them. One of the diplomas that a student can receive is a Regents diploma this is the basic diploma students need to graduate High School with and can receive. The Advanced Regents diploma is a diploma that students can aim for while in High School this diploma is for students who have a taken more regents and whose grades exceed those of regular students. To get the Regents diploma, a student needs 8 English credits, 8 S.S credits, 6 Math  credits, 6 Science credits, 2 credits in LOTE, 4 credits in PE, 1 credit in Health, 2 credits in Art and 7 elective credits. CS Fair Reflection Journal

Taken from the CS Fair website             Today we the Web Design academy had the opportunity to go to the CS Fair held within the Armory Track. At first before the entire trip even started I was wondering what we might see at this event and I really wasn't prepared for what was actually there. Once we got to the location I was astonished to see how many people actually went and even how many companies, colleges, etc were there at the fair. The place was massive and there was so many things to do, people to talk to and I was dumbfounded in where to start. The first thing I did during the fair was try the different activities they had to offer including playing with lights, driving a robot which was created to complete in a competition and was built in around 30 days which was extremely impressive.
