Lab 19 Reflection Journal


            In this lab just like the previous one it was displayed within the JavaScript console and used the basic fundamentals of the last lab being the const. Instead of creating list containing important women throughout history we had to create a list containing 3 teachers within the school with 5 comments about each teacher as well as the student id of each person who commented, as well as the date in which the teacher started teaching for the DOE in order to find out if the teacher had tenure or not. Like the previous lab we had to sort the information to get that piece that we wanted to retrieve later in this case it was the student id's as well as if the teacher had tenure or not. Functions were created in order to find out the comment a particular student made by using his/her id number as well as a true or false function to find out whether or not the teacher had tenure or not. 
            The skills gained from the lab or as useful as the previous lab because this can help us extract information we may want in our websites. Such as a particular lab or maybe a project or comment so this is in fact an extremely useful skills which I can add to future labs and projects and i'm definitely excited and ready to use it.

            What diplomas can students receive in High School? There are different diplomas that students in High School can get but for each one they have different standards in order to achieve them. One of the diplomas that a student can receive is a Regents diploma this is the basic diploma students need to graduate High School with and can receive. The Advanced Regents diploma is a diploma that students can aim for while in High School this diploma is for students who have a taken more regents and whose grades exceed those of regular students. CS Fair Reflection Journal

Taken from the CS Fair website             Today we the Web Design academy had the opportunity to go to the CS Fair held within the Armory Track. At first before the entire trip even started I was wondering what we might see at this event and I really wasn't prepared for what was actually there. Once we got to the location I was astonished to see how many people actually went and even how many companies, colleges, etc were there at the fair. The place was massive and there was so many things to do, people to talk to and I was dumbfounded in where to start. The first thing I did during the fair was try the different activities they had to offer including playing with lights, driving a robot which was created to complete in a competition and was built in around 30 days which was extremely impressive.
